Good developments in Forerunner 310XT

forerunner 310xtGarmin pleased to announce the award-winning improvements Forerunner 310XT, which proved invaluable for swimmers and trialonist. The GPS receiver has a highly recorded distance and speed of swimming. In addition to our new customers, this feature is also available as a free software update for people who already have a Forerunner 310XT. For the triatlonists it means simply to come in “swimming” and press START at the beginning of swimming. When they finish swimming after a keypress, Forerunner 310XT automatically processes the combination of time and GPS data to give rise distance and average speed. This means that first triatlonists can record data for each stage of their training, from the entry into the water, until crossing the finish line at the end of running. All these data can be uploaded to Garmin Connect for analysis and review. Forerunner 310XT is waterproof to a depth of 50m and has extended battery life – up to 20 hours.

Nokia will navigate their clients with GPS

In collaboration with the Technical Institute Berkeley, manufacturer Nokia opened a six-month pilot program for its models, equipped with a GPS receiver. Mobile Millennium, as it is called the software will work with any device that supports JAVA applications and provide reliable and useful information for traffic participants. The project includes a system for monitoring traffic in real time and automatic re-routing to the most liberal parts of town.

Sanyo showed the first GPS receiver of the company

Manufacturer Sanyo has shown its own navigation system, equipped with a Solid State Drive, which called Gorilla GPS. Indeed, the model name NVA-GS1580FT and is equipped with 7 inch LCD display and digital TV tuner (12Seg / 1Seg). The device is based on the 4GB SSD that will fit all the necessary maps and authentic function EcoDrive, designed to optimize your driving style. Of course, Sanyo does not end there, incorporated support mp3, wma, aac audio formats and compatibility with DVD and CD playback devices. Since it is designed for incorporation in vehicles, the new Gorilla has a 4h43W amplifier for connection to the central sound system and reader for SD memory for even greater convenience. The model will appear on the market in November 20th, but its price is not yet clear.
